At ELLA Festival we believe that equality, diversity and inclusion are built through real actions and alliances between organizations committed to a fairer future.
This year we are proud to have the participation of the Cruz Roja , an organization that has been promoting projects for years that connect people with job opportunities, demonstrating that talent knows no age, origin, identity or sexual orientation.
We spoke with Eva Delgado Cayetano , Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Project in the Employment Area of the Balearic Red Cross, to learn more about her work and discover why collaboration between companies and social entities is key to building a more inclusive society.
What is the Corporate Social Challenge Project and what is its main objective?

For those who are not yet familiar with your work, what is the Corporate Social Challenge Project and what is its main objective?
The Corporate Social Responsibility Project is an initiative of the Cruz Roja Employment Area that aims to connect the business community with the realities faced by people who encounter the greatest difficulties in accessing the job market. Through this project, we promote collaboration with companies committed to diversity, equal opportunities, and social and professional inclusion.
Our main objective is to generate alliances that allow the creation of more inclusive work environments, raising awareness and supporting organizations in the development of responsible practices that promote the incorporation and retention in employment of people in vulnerable situations.
Furthermore, we work to demonstrate that diversity not only has a positive impact on individuals, but also adds value to companies, enriching teams, driving innovation, and contributing to a fairer and more equal society.
At the Cruz Roja, we understand that employment is a key tool for social inclusion, and therefore we promote meeting spaces between companies, entities and professionals who share the commitment to build opportunities for all people, regardless of their origin, age, identity, sexual orientation, administrative status or any other personal or social circumstance.
The role of businesses in social transformation

From your experience, how can the business world become a real agent of social transformation?
Businesses have a fundamental role to play in building a more inclusive and diverse society. Through equal opportunity policies, respectful work environments, and talent-based selection processes, they can generate a positive impact on both individuals and communities.
At the Cruz Roja Employment Department, we see every day how collaboration between businesses and social organizations creates real opportunities for people who face greater barriers to employment. Investing in diversity not only promotes inclusion but also strengthens teams and adds value to organizations. Ultimately, every action counts in driving real and sustainable social change.
The power of alliances
What role do alliances between social entities and companies play in building a more inclusive society?
Partnerships between social organizations and businesses are essential for creating real opportunities for inclusion. While organizations contribute knowledge about the needs of the most vulnerable people and groups, businesses have the capacity to transform that commitment into opportunities for employment, development, and participation.
When we work together, we can break down barriers, promote diversity in the workplace, and build a fairer and more equitable society. Inclusion is a shared challenge that can only be effectively addressed through collaboration.
Diversity: an opportunity for all people

At ELLA, we work every day to give visibility and empower lesbian and queer women. That's why we wanted to ask the Cruz Roja about the importance of diversity in the workplace.
At ELLA, we work for the visibility and empowerment of lesbian and queer women. How important is diversity in professional and organizational environments?
Diversity is a key factor in building more innovative, creative, and competitive organizations. When people can be themselves in safe and respectful environments, their well-being, engagement, and ability to contribute increase.
At the Cruz Roja Employment Department, we believe that the visibility and empowerment of women, as well as the entire LGBTQ+ community, are fundamental to moving towards more inclusive and equitable workplaces. Diversity not only enriches teams, but also reflects organizations' commitment to equal opportunities and respect for all people.
Cruz Roja at ELLA Festival Mallorca 2026
What does participating in ELLA Festival Mallorca 2026 mean to you?
Participating in the ELLA LGTBIQ+ Festival is an opportunity to continue promoting the values we champion at the Red Cross Employment Area: diversity, equal opportunities, and social and professional inclusion. Sharing space with initiatives that give visibility and empower women allows us to foster dialogue, raise awareness among businesses, and reinforce our commitment to building more inclusive environments.
Furthermore, this year we will participate in the Festival's opening through the "Hire Without" campaign, a Red Cross initiative that invites companies to reflect on the prejudices and stereotypes that can still influence recruitment processes. The campaign promotes hiring based on talent, skills, and potential, regardless of age, origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal or social circumstance.
During ELLA Festival Mallorca 2026, the Cruz Roja will have a stand at the ELLA Opening, where it will present its "Hire Without" campaign. This open space will allow companies, professionals, and attendees to learn about this initiative, have their questions answered, and discover how to contribute to building a more inclusive, diverse, and prejudice-free labor market.
This space also gives us the opportunity to forge new alliances and continue bringing employment closer to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, origin, age, or any other personal circumstance. Because a more diverse and inclusive society is also a society with more opportunities for everyone.
A message for the ELLA community
To conclude the interview, we asked the Cruz Roja to share a message addressed to all the women who are part of the ELLA Global Community around the world.
If you could share one message with the women who are part of the ELLA Global Community around the world, what would it be?
We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for your continued efforts in building spaces of visibility, support, and leadership. Every story, every step forward, and every collaborative network contributes to a more diverse, inclusive, and respectful society.
From the Employment Area of the Cruz Roja, we encourage all women to continue defending their talent, their identity and their right to participate fully in all areas of society.
Diversity strengthens us, and change is possible when it is built collectively. Together, we continue to move toward a future with greater equality, opportunities, and respect for all.

Building a more inclusive future
The collaboration between ELLA Festival and the Cruz Roja demonstrates that diversity is not only a value, but an opportunity to generate employment, create alliances and build a fairer and more equal society.
We are especially excited to have the Cruz Roja as a collaborating entity of ELLA Festival Mallorca 2026 and to share the same commitment: to create spaces where all people have the same opportunities to develop their talent and build their future.
