ELLA builds communities and sparks innovation by promoting visibility, empowerment and solidarity for queer women and non-binary people of all backgrounds around the globe. We believe all queer women and non-binary people deserve to feel free, respected, and able to assert their identity without fear.

In many places around the world, queer women and non-binary people face severe discrimination and inequality with regards to their human and civil rights. As a result, queer women and non-binary people do not feel fully safe or comfortable with living openly and at ease in regards to their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics.
This is why we are launching projects all over the world to celebrate, visibilize, inspire and raise awareness of queer women and non-binary people and their identities, challenges, successes and aspirations.
The ELLA International Festival in Mallorca and abroad will be organised and continue as usual welcoming queer women and non-binary people of all backgrounds. Our events are open to queer women and non-binary people of all ages who are locals, (solo) travellers, couples and families. We are experts at catering to our community’s needs, and make sure to provide a fun, inclusive, inspiring and safe environment for all.

BACKGROUND

Race, generation, class, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, faith, spiritual beliefs and so on.

Our organization is dedicated to championing visibility and empowerment of queer women and non-binary people through the power of community and innovation.

MISSION

VISION

Our vision is a world where queer women and non-binary people feel empowered to drive change and obtain full equality and acceptance in societies where discrimination against them still prevails.

OUR VALUES

We believe that everyone should be free to be true to themselves and have the right to assert their own sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

AUTHENTICITY

We believe that amongst women, we have to stand in solidarity with one another;  listen to, cooperate and inspire each other, regardless of our sexual orientation,
gender identity and expression, race, class, faith, ability and so on.

SOLIDARITY

No change has ever been achieved without the actions of a courageous few.
As a minority often discriminated against for not being heterosexual, it takes tremendous courage to assert your sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and take a stand on behalf of the LGBTQI+ community.

COURAGE

Social attitudes and beliefs can only be changed by involving and educating all communities.
Inclusivity, equality and acceptance of queer women, trans women, femmes, non-binary people and individuals embracing femininity cannot be achieved by only preaching to the choir.

INCLUSIVITY

We believe that queer women and non-binary people of all races, generations, classes, abilities, gender identities and expressions, faiths, and other backgrounds should be welcomed, valued and respected. We know that in order to create an inclusive and safe space, we must also acknowledge, understand and embrace the intersections between these demographics.
